Goa, a state in western India has coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Its long history as a Portuguese colony (before 1961) is evident in its preserved 17th-century churches and its unique Indo-Portuguese culture. Goa is also known for its beaches, tropical spice plantations, hinterlands and a lot more. It also is host to Olive Ridley Turtles Nesting sites at five beaches, Ashwem, Morjim, Mandrem in North Goa and Galgibaga, Agonda in the South. Goa's excellent sports infrastructure has made it an International Sports Tourism hub.
