About Sportspal

What Sportspal is

Sportspal is one place for your sport. Athletes in the UAE and across the Middle East use it to find the races to enter, the groups to train with, and the coaches, physiotherapists and shops around triathlon, running, swimming and cycling.

The race calendar is the heart of it: community runs on the Corniche sit beside Ironman, Challenge, T100, XTERRA, World Triathlon and UCI Gran Fondo events, each with its dates, distances and fees. Entries stay with the organiser — every race page sends you to their own entry page.

Who is behind it

Sportspal was founded by Petros Solomou and is built and run from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It started with a problem every athlete here knows. Race dates live on one site and entries on another; the training group is a chat thread; the coach came through a friend of a friend; the bike shop that actually stocks your size is word of mouth. Endurance sport in the Gulf has grown fast, and the information around it stayed scattered. Sportspal began as a single calendar of races in the UAE and grew into the directory around them.

For athletes

Find a race by sport, place, distance and month, and read what other athletes made of it. Keep a race plan: heart a race, choose your distance, and get the race-week email when it comes round. Follow the organisers you race with, and have the races opening near you land in your inbox once a month.

The Sportspal app is on the App Store; the Android app is in testing.

For organisers

Listing a race is free. Claim your page, keep its dates and fees current, reply to reviews, and see how many athletes looked and clicked through to enter. Put a Find us on Sportspal badge on your own website and athletes land on your page here.
