This challenging 80-kilometer cycling adventure traverses one of the most scenic coastal routes near Muscat. Starting in the picturesque village of Qantab, cyclists will face a route characterized by rolling hills, stunning sea views, and exposed desert sections. The course navigates the winding, paved roads that connect the smaller coves and beaches, eventually reaching the finishing line at the pristine sands of Sifah Beach.
The route includes significant climbs and fast descents, demanding moderate fitness, good handling skills, and the ability to ride in a group. This is not a race, rather a social adventure.

Ride Overview
The 80km route is a demanding journey along the breathtaking Muscat coastline. Starting from the charming inlet of Qantab, the course immediately introduces rolling terrain, navigating the paved roads that trace the contours of the shoreline. Riders should anticipate significant, yet manageable, climbs followed by exhilarating descents, offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Oman.
The primary challenges will be the cumulative elevation gain and exposure to the morning desert heat as the ride progresses. This is a social endurance ride, not a race. The focus is on cycling as a cohesive group.
A dedicated support vehicle will follow the group from behind. While the group will aim to stay together, the support car will occasionally pull ahead to ensure all riders can regroup safely, particularly after climbs or congested sections. Group riding etiquette, adherence to marshal instructions, and self-sufficiency (preferred fuel & hydration / minor repairs) are essential for a successful and safe completion. Support vehicles with additional fuel/hydration will be in position to ensure rider welfare.
