The 2026 Asia-Pacific Championship continues in Australia! The pristine coastal paradise at Dunsborough will host the biggest off-road event in Asia in 2026. Set in beautiful Meelup Regional Park, this will be an exciting weekend of off-road racing that includes the Asia-Pacific Championships for triathlon and trail running, in addition to shorter distance triathlons and trail runs that anyone can be part of (including kids!).

Full Distance Triathlon

The XTERRA Full Distance is held over a world-class course that is worthy of its ranking as a Gold Level XTERRA race. With crystal clear ocean swim, technical MTB on flowing single track and a spectacular run along coastal trails, this is a course that rewards those who can handle themselves off-road. If you’re looking for a serious challenge and massive sense of accomplishment, then this one’s for you. 58 slots to XTERRA World Championship will be awarded to age group winners.

Sprint Distance Triathlon

If you want a piece of the action and are eager to experience the fun of off-road racing in a slightly shorter race format – the XTERRA Sprint Triathlon in beautiful Dunsborough is the race for you! We welcome athletes of all abilities – from whippets who race the short and fast like a race car, through to novices and juniors who are new to off-road racing and want an easier alternative. This also serves as a qualifier race for XTERRA Youth Championship.

Trail Marathon

The race for 2026 Asia-Pacific Trail Marathon Championship crowns. This is the premier trail running event of the weekend and will follow a spectacular course through Meelup Regional Park to Cape Naturaliste and back again. This demanding course will test all runners with plenty of variety including technical trails, 4WD tracks and sandy paths – all through this wilderness paradise. The Asia-Pacific Trail Run Championship serves as a pathway for runners from all regions to qualify for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship.

Trail Half Marathon

Set to crown the 2026 Asia-Pacific Trail Half Marathon Champions, this challenging 21km trail run along the spectacular coastline and hinterland trails in Meelup Regional Park offers plenty of variety and comes with stunning views across Geographe Bay and the coastline. Top-performing age division runners will also stand the chance to qualify for the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship.

10K Trail Run

The XTERRA 10K Trail Run provides a spectacular run through the beautiful Meelup Regional Park in a more accessible distance. Run down trails lined with wild flowers, past secret beaches and granite outcrops on mix of trails, beach, 4WD tracks that anyone can achieve. Rally your friends and family and join the run.

Youth A & Kids Triathlon

XTERRA Kids is a super-fun off-road triathlon for competitors aged up to 15 years that gives kids their own dose of adventure. The race includes the same mix of disciplines and off-road terrain as the adult races but tones down the length and the technical difficulty so kids can complete it with a smile on their face from start to finish.

Groms Race

The XTERRA Groms is designed to encourage active youngsters to get into sport and have some fun off-road. Kids see their parents, older siblings and friends training and doing races and ABSOLUTELY LOVE having the chance to race and experience it for themselves. The energy and enthusiasm they put into the race makes this our favourite race of the weekend and we regularly get over 100 kids participating!

Short Track

Short > fast > and very loud. This is triathlon at it's most spectacular! The first race of the XTERRA Asia-Pacific Championship will see the top 30 male and female off-road triathletes going head to head at a blistering pace through a condensed course that runs directly through the race village. Over in under 40 minutes, it's a race where every corner counts, and with fans offered a front row seat to the action.
