The 2025 XTERRA World Championship marks the final chapter of the Italian era, as the world’s best return to the iconic trails of Trentino. Set against the backdrop of Lake Molveno and the Brenta Dolomites, the event brings together athletes from around the world for a multiday celebration of shared experience—both on and off the trails—culminating in three defining World Championship races across the Elite, Age Group, and Youth divisions.
Short Track Triathlon
The final race of the 2025 XTERRA World Cup sees the top 30 men and women go head-to-head in a fast-paced battle that unfolds through the heart of the race village. With World Cup titles and rankings on the line—and livestream cameras capturing every second—this made-for-TV format gives fans in Molveno and around the world a front-row seat to a sub-40-minute race that will decide the final series standings.
Full Distance Triathlon
The Full Distance Triathlon begins with a swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Molveno, followed by a demanding ride through purpose-built trails connecting Molveno and Andalo. The run course winds along the shoreline and through forested paths before finishing in front of one of Italy’s most breathtaking alpine lakes—where the next class of XTERRA World Champions will be crowned.
Sprint Triathlon
Now in its second year, the XTERRA Youth World Championship continues to nurture the next generation of off-road triathletes, with youth athletes invited to compete on the world stage at the sport’s pinnacle event. The Sprint Triathlon sees Youth B and Junior athletes from around the globe take on the same trails as the pros, racing in an international field to determine the 2025 XTERRA Youth B and Junior World Champions.
Super Sprint Triathlon
Now in its second year, the XTERRA Youth World Championship gives the youngest division—Youth A athletes aged 14–15—the chance to test themselves on the world stage. The Super Sprint Triathlon brings together emerging talent from across the globe, racing on the same championship terrain with the full support of family, fans, and the wider XTERRA community.
Open Sprint Triathlon
An open race for friends, family, and fans of the sport to experience the magic of XTERRA Worlds and explore the same trails that test the world’s best. Held the day after the World Championship, the race is timed so those chasing titles can still count on the cheers of their supporters—before switching roles the next day to return the favour from the sidelines.
