Olympic Triathlons in South America
An Olympic triathlon covers 1.5 km of swimming, 40 km on the bike and a 10 km run — a full test of all three disciplines in a format that suits athletes training at serious volume without committing to a half or full iron-distance day. South America has a growing calendar of these races, with events spread across Colombia, Argentina and Chile. Races tend to cluster in September and October, with further opportunities in February. Cities on the circuit include Cartagena on Colombia's Caribbean coast, Coquimbo in northern Chile and the Argentine cities of San Juan and San Salvador de Jujuy. Different events are organised by different race companies, so Sportspal brings the full list together in one place, making it straightforward to compare dates and locations before you commit.
