Goa, a state in western India has coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea. Its long history as a Portuguese colony before 1961 is evident in its preserved 17th-century churches and its unique Indo-Portuguese culture.
Goa is also known for its beaches, tropical spice plantations, hinterlands and a lot more. It also is host to Olive Ridley Turtles Nesting sites at five beaches; Ashvem, Morjim, Mandrem in North Goa and Galgibaga, Agonda in the South.
