Airwerks Cycles

Basso has built bikes in Italy for more than 45 years. Airwerks stocks its road range, from the Diamante race bike and the aero SV to the all-round Astra and the Venta, and its gravel bikes, the Palta, Tera and Volta.

The bikes come complete, most with Shimano or SRAM electronic shifting and DT Swiss wheels, or as framesets to build up in the workshop. Ask about a test ride on the SV.

Lee Cougan is an Italian mountain bike maker. The range at Airwerks runs from the Edge, an all-rounder for a first serious mountain bike, through the Rampage, a light hardtail built to race, to the full-suspension Crossfire and Crossfire Trail, with the Quest, the E-Quest and the Denamo e-bike alongside.

Garmin Edge bike computers, from the 130 Plus to the 1040, Shimano and LOOK pedals, Ravemen front and rear lights, Supacaz bar tape and bottle cages, and CamelBak Podium bottles, including the insulated Podium Ice.

The Airwerks Racing Team grew out of the shop's community. It races road, mountain bike, gravel, criterium and desert races across the UAE, with a men's team, a women's team and an Emirati team: around 30 riders from 17 countries.

It was named best team in the UAE Cycling Federation series in 2023, 2024 and 2025. In August 2026 AYAT Group became its title sponsor, alongside the Bin Hadher Group and Airwerks Cycles. The riders race on Basso and Lee Cougan bikes and SALT Carbon wheels, with HJC helmets, Alba Optics eyewear and DMT shoes, in kit made by Salire this season.

The women's team has thirteen riders from five nations. Their UAE season runs from September to March or April, on the road, in criteriums and time trials and on mountain bikes.

In July 2026 they finished second overall at the Internationale Oderrundfahrt, a stage race in Germany.

Orders placed before 2 pm UAE time are usually processed the same business day and sent by FedEx or Aramex: one to three business days across the UAE, and two to five to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

Shipping is worked out at checkout; a full bike may carry a surcharge.
